In ancient times, people used essential oils and plant parts to improve their health and well-being. I am so happy to inform you that IBellaBeauty implemented a great new product range of pure (certified grade! ) aromatherapy oils named doTerra.

Many of you already experience my approach towards the care of the skin and know, that I have always connected the skin condition with the health issues. It was always my key to successful understanding and treatments of the client skin problems.

Aromatherapy oils were always number one ingredient and popular choice in my treatment products.

The wide variety of benefits provided by aromatherapy oils make them useful for so many different areas of life.

Arnica is brilliance perennial member of the sunflower family, derived from the herb of Arnica Montana of Europe origin. Grows wild in mountain ranges across Europe, Siberia and in North America. The plant is small and has vibrant, golden yellow flowers that look like daisies. The root is also used for herbal preparations.

Arnica oil is available as a 100% pure essential oil. However should not b e applied to skin before it is diluted into the form of an oil, ointment, gel or cream. In any form, arnica should never be used on broken or damaged skin.

Arnica has been made popular by homeopathy, but traditional herbalists had been using it to treat bruises and other injuries for centuries. Arnica continues to be popular, especially with athletes, who depend on it to get pain relief and fast recovery from sports-related strains and sprains. Mothers – keep it handy to treat their children’s minor injuries.

The main active agent helenalin in arnica has a toxic effect at higher concentrations, but can be taken internally when diluted homoeopathically.

So, please remember, arnica is not meant to be used undiluted on the skin.

Only diluted!

People with hypersensitive skin as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women should refrain from using arnica oil.

Basil essential oil, derived from the Ocimum basilicum plant and is commonly used to enhance the flavour of many recipes today.

Basil includes about 200 species of various basil botanical varieties and forms grown around the world. Basil essential oil, sometimes called “sweet basil oil”, has been used for centuries to treat all kinds of health concerns. Basil has been used in traditional Asian / Indian medicine practices for years.

With a naturally sweet, warm, spicy and herbal smell, basil oil can be used in multiple ways both internally and topically.

The benefits of using Basil Oil:

• natural anti-inflammatory

Bergamot oil originated from citrus trees. This essential oil has a pleasant scent which enhances your sense of peace and happiness.

The benefits of using Bergamot Oil:

Blackcurrant Oil – CURRANT (Ribes)

The shrub comes from the gooseberry family. There are 150 species in temperate areas throughout the northern hemisphere. Six species are listed in centre of Europe, and one of them is blackcurrant. Shrubs can reach a height of up to 3 meters, producing fruits called blackberries. From seeds, as a result of pressing, a dark yellow oil is obtained, which has recently been used in the cosmetics industry. Cold-pressed, refined oil obtained from black ribes of Ribes Nigrum. In the oil we find a lot of GLA-14% acid and rare stearidonic acid (SDA).

The benefits of using Blackcurrant oil:

• gently moisturise, firms and soothes irritated skin

• its light formula makes it well absorbed, which is important in care

• perfect for children and people with skin disorders such as psoriasis and eczema

• also intended for mature, sensitive, dry and damaged skin

HOW TO USE:

• use directly onto a skin

• as an anti-inflammatory agent is an ideal addition to the base oil used in massage

• addition to moisturiser and anti-aging creams, strongly moisturise dry skin. Suggested concentration 5-15%

• use as an oil for delicate skin, which thanks to the light formula does not leave the effect of oily skin

• a gentle moisturising and elasticising bath. For a tub filled with 1/3 of water pour about 8-10 ml of oil

Eucalyptus

 

Better known for its action on the upper respiratory tract, used for sinus problems, throat infections, cold, catarrh or influenza. 

The benefits of using Eucalyptus oil:

 

  • valuable for use during times of epidemic regarding disorders of respiratory system
  • used in chest rub or in inhalants
  • has a cooling effect on the body
  • used to reduce body temperature during fever
  • treat muscular aches and pains, also rheumatoid arthritis
  • good for external wounds, cold sores, blisters in shingles, ulcers – especially for damage skin areas that heal slowly
  • excellent for most disorders of the urinary tract, including cystitis
  • helps and treat facial neuralgia
  • lowers blood sugar level
  • increasing oxygen supply to every cell through ability to activating red blood cell functioning  & increasing oxygen bonding in the lungs
  • used for fluid retention or with possible infection of toxemia (preeclampsia – complication in pregnancy) 
How to use Eucalyptus oil:

 

  • few drops, always diluted in base oil
  • may cause skin irritation so only use in low dilution
  • do not use if receiving homeopathic treatment
Eucalyptus oil blends with:

 

Lemon, Lavender, Pine, Rosemary, Peppermint, Clove, Cardamon, Tea Tree, Cypress, Melissa.

Lavender

 

The floral, airy scent of Lavender essential oil can produce calming, soothing and relaxing benefits for several areas of the body and mind. Lavender oil has limitless applications.

The benefits of Lavender oil:

  • provides relaxing qualities that can help promote a peaceful sleep
  • combats effects of stress, reduces anxious feelings or feelings of tension, depression, irritability, palpitation
  • regulates nervous system
  • soothing for the skin
  • excellent oil for tension headache, earache, migraine
  • most calming when used in massage oil, good for aches and pain generally, rheumatism, sprains of the muscular system
  • used in most of the aromatherapy recipes for beauty, health and home
  • essential oil for snoring, inhalation, treatment moisturizer, soothing skin irritation and other
  • used in diffusers to promote calming and soothing atmosphere
  • aromatherapy essential blend for arthritis, bites & stings, blisters, cold sores, facial: toners, moisturizes, scrubs, masks and more 
  • use for sensitive skins, helps balance sebum production
  • stimulates the lymphatic system, easing congestion and stimulating production of white blood cells
  • treats all catarrhal complaints, flu, nose and throat infection
  • good for athlete’s foot and ringworm
  • when in doubt, use Lavender. A good all round oil. 
  • low level of toxicity lavender is ideal oil for use with children

Apricot seed oil (Armeniaca vulgaris)
A tree or shrub up to 15 meters tall belonging to the Rosaceae family. It has been cultivated for over 4000,000 years, and China is the place of origin. Currently, it exists in many countries like the USA, Argentina, Chile and the whole of Europe. The fruit known as drupe is a spherical shape with an orange skin with a slight red blush, reaching a mass of 30 to 80 grams. The oil used in the pharmaceutical and perfumery industry are obtained from apricot seed pits.

A natural, unrefined, cosmetic, cold pressed oil obtained from apricot kernels.

The benefits of apricot oil:

• it contains unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, B & E

• it is perfectly absorbed while maintaining an adequate level of skin hydration

• its light and delicate consistency is suitable for all skin types, especially dry, mature and sensitive

Neem Seed Oil (Azadirachta Indica)

Natural, unrefined, cosmetic, cold-pressed from seeds of the tree Azadirachta Indica; used in many Ayurveda preparations.

The benefits of using Neem Seed Oil:

• it contains a significant amount of EFA and vitamin C and E

• due to antibacterial, anti-ulcer and soothing effects, it is often used for eczema, psoriasis, dandruff and inflammation

• regulates the work of sebaceous glands, reduces the amount of secreted sebum, eliminates pimples

• it works well in the care of nails and hair

• perfect for damaged skin, dry and prone to breakouts

WARNING!

• The oil should not be used for the care of baby’s skin and pregnant women.

• At temperatures below 23 degrees C, it solidifies.

HOW TO USE:

• mix with other cosmetic oil (sweet almond oil BIO or apricot kernel oil) up to 90% and used directly on the skin

• use in oily baths in dilution with other carrier oils

• rub into your hair – strongly moisturise dry scalp, strengthens hair from bulbs, stimulates their growth and helps to quickly get rid of dandruff

• when diluting with other carrier oil and tea tree oil, form a serum which have a strong effect on the fight against acne

• used as an addition to creams and balms – it increases the effect of the cosmetic in the fight against dry skin

• a strong additive with antibacterial and fungicidal properties for foot baths – helps to fight fungal infections

• mixed with rose hip seed oil and used ‘on spot’ – repairing minor cuts and wounds

• help restore mental health when use as an aromatherapy supplement for massage treatments

Frankincense ( Boswellia Frereana )its been used for thousands of years to treat the inflammation, immune system, cancer, pain, skin problems, sunburn, trauma and many more issues.

The benefits of using Frankincense Oil:

• eases digestion ( helps detox and produce bowel movements; help to reduce pain and cramping in the stomach, relieve nausea, flush out excess water from the abdomen that can cause bloating and even relieve PMS-related stomach pains

• reducing symptoms of leaky gut symptoms, Crohn’s disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrom, chronic colitis

• relives symptoms of indigestion, constipation, cramps, gastrointestinal discomfort

• helps speed up the digestion of food, similar to digestive enzymes

Contraindications:

• frankincense essential oil is normally well-tolerated

• there are no serious side effects of using frankincense oil, but it it’s always a good idea to follow your instinct and safety of using essential oils. Try to ingest just a few drops of any essential oil at a time in water, other solution or creams

• ones in a while frankincense oil can cause certain reactions for some people, including minor skin rashes and digestive problems like stomach pain or nausea

• Frankincense is also known to have blood-thinning effects – anyone who has problems related to blood clotting should not use frankincense oil or should speak with a doctor first. Otherwise, the oil may negatively react with certain anticoagulant medications.

Safflower Oil – Carthamus Tinciorius Oil BIO ORGANIC

A species of an annual plant from the Asteraceae family. It comes from areas of India and the Middle East. The white-yellow stem reaches 1.3 meters in height. The flowers on the crown are intensely orange. A dry, non-breakable fruit with a leathery fruit in which loosely arranged seed is found. The plant is grown for its dye and precious oil for the production of cosmetics, especially soap products.

Unrefined, cold pressed organic version of safflower oil Carthamus Tinctorius.

The benefit of using the Safflower oil:

• it contains the largest amount of linoleic acid from all vegetable oils

• it contains oil and palmitic acid, as well as vitamins A and E in its natural form

• anti-inflammatory properties

• reduces blemishes and impurities

• it absorbs quickly and does not leave an oily layer

• intended for oily skin with acne and mixed skin

HOW TO USE:

• it can be applied directly to the skin

• as an addition to cosmetics for oily skin with acne, mixed (with a tendency to oily)

• used on the spot – damages the hair follicles. Some sources say that inhibit hair growth after depilation. After the depilation treatment, apply oil and wait for it to absorb

• a bath that softens the skin. Put 10 ml of oil in a tub filled with 1/3 of warm water

Moringa Oleifera Oil

A natural, unrefined, cosmetic, cold pressed oil from Moringa plant. The tree is native to India but also grows in Asia, Africa, and South America.

The benefits of using Moringa Oil:

• contains many healthful compounds such as: Vitamin A, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B6, Vitamin C, Calcium, Potassium, Iron, Magnesium, Zinc and other

• it contains essential fatty acids, mainly oleic acid, omega – 3,6,9, and vitamins E and A

• Moringa also contains protein, which means it is helpful in protecting skin cells from damage; it has anti-aging properties

• strongly moisturise, smooths the skin, care for wrinkles and cleanses the skin

• deeply moisturise, cleanses pores, illuminates the complexion and improves its colour

• brightens and removes the effect of tired skin

• it normalise the secretion of sebum and prevents the formation of blackheads and pimples

• anti-fungal

• treats edema – a painful condition where fluid builds up in specific tissues in the body. The anti-inflammatory properties of moringa may be effective in preventing edema from developing

• strong moisturising and smoothing properties, strengthens hair bulbs and helps in the fight against dandruff

• Moringa seed oil is beneficial for protecting hair against free radicals and keeps it clean and healthy; prevent splitting ends of the hair, gently moisturises and protects against bad external factors

• Moringa also contains calcium and phosphorous, which help keep bones healthy and strong. Along with its anti-inflammatory properties Moringa oil might help to treat conditions such as arthritis and may also heal damaged bones

• moringa oil has been shown to help wounds close as well as reduce the appearance of scars

• Moringa contains isothiocyanate and niaziminin, compounds that help to stop arteries from thickening, which can cause blood pressure to rise

• helps to reduce the amount of glucose in the blood, as well as sugar and protein in the urine. This improved the hemoglobin levels and overall protein content in those tested. But, You should always check with the doctor before using the Moringa oil. Diabetes medications are used to lower blood sugar, which moringa also does effectively. It is vital to ensure blood sugar levels do not get too low.

Warnings!

• High blood pressure medication: Moringa has shown to be effective at lowering blood pressure. Taking moringa ( safe side even if using Moringa Oil) alongside other drugs that lower blood pressure may result in it becoming too low.

• Moringa Oil is not recommended for pregnant women.

How to use:

• directly on the skin – apply a small amount on the fingertips and gently rub into the washed skin of the face until completely absorbed

• hair care product – rub a small amount into the scalp and hair, then after a few minutes wash off with a delicate shampoo

• hair tips – rub a small amount into dry or damp hair tips

• addition to the anti-aging serum at night – add to your favorite serum or create your own with the addition of other cosmetic oils for skin care

• cleansing and moisturising bath: add about 10 ml of oil to the bathtub filled with 1/3 of warm water, bath time to 20 minutes

• make-up removal – apply a small amount of oil to the face petals and wipe the skin

• toning properties, antiseptics and a light formula easily cleanses and moisturises the skin

• soaking feet – add about 8-10 ml of oil to a warm bowl of water. Soak feet for 15 minutes. Relaxes/ moisturise and smooths tired skin of the feet

• sunburn and insect bites – apply directly to the affected areas,mix up to 80-90% with other oils
